Our Murrayfield project is coming along. Terraced houses are always difficult owing to the fact that access isn’t the greatest. It’s can add a few weeks on to the length of the project due to logistics alone. K Rend Acrylic Render TC 15 has now being applied. Now I’m not a food connoisseur by any means but

Now I’m not a food connoisseur by any means but I do know a good sandwich when I eat one. I can tell you where to get the best fish and chips, Chinese food, Italian food, Indian food, baked potato etc...well you get the picture. To describe me, then you’d say I was the type of person who, ‘likes his grub!’ Anyway I digress ever so slightly. So, through frequenting a little known Sicilian coffee shop in Murrayfield place then I got to know the owner Alessandro Costa. His home made cakes are to die for and very moreish. To plagiarise a well known baker then I’d say his cakes were better than just ‘exceedingly good.’ So we were invited to tender for a major refurbishment at no’s 6,7 and 8 Murrayfield place, knocking three small shops into one by means of two very major slap throughs, supporting walls that were taking 3 story flats above. We think the job turned out to be excellent (although the colour scheme is a bit suspect) and this bistro had rave reviews when it opened, and until covid claimed another victim of the restaurant trade. This bistro is now under a new leasehold and is still awaiting its second opening. Our completed project in North Gyle. This house was virtually demolished other than the front elevation and two side walls. All floors, internal brick walls, rear elevation and roof was removed and demolished entirely. We delivered a stunning 5 bedroom, open plan kitchen, living, dining area with a kids playroom and two bathroom, utility and en-suite bathroom.
